Use

The Graphical Editor is part of the Process Integration Scenario Editor .

Features

Selecting and Moving Objects

This section describes the actions that you can execute in the Graphical Editor. These actions refer to the following objects:

  • Application components

  • Actions

  • Connections

Move (Horizontally)

By Drag and Drop

To do this, drag the header of the application component horizontally to the new position.

Note

All connections and actions are retained when moving an application component.

Selecting

You can select an individual action by moving the cursor over the action and

  • simply clicking.

  • Call the context menu.

    Or you can put the focus on an action with the cursor buttons or the Tab button abd pressing the Space bar. This is only possible in change mode (for more information on setting the focus, see below).

    You can select multiple actions by

  • pressing the Ctrl button and selecting the actions with a single click.

  • Clicking on a Connection Line

    • If only one connection is represented by this connection line then both of the actions that belong to this connection are selected.

    • If multiple connections are represented by this connection line, all of the actions that could be connected to each other are selected.

  • Surrounding the Actions with the Rubberband You surround the actions with the cursor by holding down the left mouse button.

    When you have selected an action, the action is surrounded by a red line and is highlighted light-red.

Move (Vertically)

By Drag and Drop

You can move multiple actions at once if you have already selected them.

Note the following restrictions:

  • Actions cannot be moved between different application components.

  • Actions can only be moved vertically

    • if the new relative position of the actions can be reconciled with the connections that are defined between the actions. Otherwise you will see a message to make you aware of this

    • if there is enough space in the Process Integration scenario graphic for the move.

Connections can only be moved indirctly by moving the actions that belong to the connection.

Additional Functions

  • Showing/Hiding Grid and Setting Focus

    You can show a grid on the graphic. In this case, all possible positions for actions are displayed by corners.

    If you have displayed a grid, you can set the docus on a grid point or an action. In this case, the position is selected by a red frame.

    You can move the focus using the cursor buttons or the tab button.

    • If you have set the focus on a position where an action is already added, you can call the Action Edtior for this action using the Enter button or select by using the Space bar.

      Note

      This is a simple case of keyboard usability.

    If the grid is hidden, you can still set the focus on a new position with an action. In this case the action is then selected.

    To show/hide a grid, select Start of the navigation path View Next navigation step Grid Next navigation step Shows/Hide End of the navigation path in the Process Integration Scenario Editor menu.

  • Zooming

    The graphical area of the Process Integration scenario can be zoomed between 100% and 50%. Choose Start of the navigation path View Next navigation step Zoom End of the navigation path in the menu of the Process Integration Scenario Editor for this.
