The system records translations entered in transaction SE63 according to the following thirteen scenarios:

Copy Best Proposal

Copy BP (New)

The translator translates a new line by copying an existing best proposal.

  • This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

    Copy Best Proposal (New)

  • Before translation, the status is new (red).

  • A best proposal existed before translation.

  • A best proposal exists after translation.

  • The original best proposal is the same as the final best proposal.

  • A translation did not exist before translation.

  • The original translation is not the same as the final translation.

  • The final translation is the same as the final best proposal.

  • After translation, the status is translated (green).

Copy BP (Modified)

The translator translates a modified line by copying an existing best proposal.

  • Before translation, the status is modified (yellow).

  • A best proposal existed before translation.

  • A best proposal exists after translation.

  • The original best proposal is the same as the final best proposal.

  • A translation existed before translation.

  • The final translation is the same as the final best proposal.

  • After translation, the status is translated (green).

Create Best Proposal

The translator translates a new line by creating a new best proposal.

The translator changes the translation and perhaps best proposal, changing the line’s status from translated to new.

The translator changes the translation and perhaps best proposal, changing the line’s status from translated to modified.
