The Mobile Client for Handhelds is the front-end software for your mobile handheld device, on which it is installed to run Mobile Applications for Handhelds.

Through the Mobile Client for Handhelds you can:

  • Access applications running on your device

  • Download data from and upload data to the Data Orchestration Engine (DOE)

    Note Note

    The DOE is the messaging server for your Handheld. It performs the following functions:

    Stores data and applications

    Manages data distribution to your Handheld and to other devices

    Manages users and authorizations

Procedure

To work with the Mobile Client for Handhelds, you must perform the following tasks:

  1. Start the client

  2. Log onto the client

  3. Configure the client (upon first-time use)

  4. Synchronize with the DOE
