Checking the Data Consistency of Rooms and
Room Content
You should check the data consistency of rooms regularly (for example, after every update). A report is provided for finding and correcting data inconsistencies.
● For the availability of rooms (ability to enter rooms):
○ Missing user groups for the room containing the members
○ Missing room roles
○ Missing properties for the user group of the room or room roles
● For searching for rooms in the room directory and room administration:

○ Missing room properties for rooms from previous releases
○ Changes in routine operation (for example, changing the name of the room owner)
● For searching for discussion posts in a room or across rooms:
○ Missing room ID for discussion groups or posts from previous releases

1. In the portal, choose Content Administration → KM Content.
2. In the detailed navigation, choose Toolbox → Reports.
3. Choose (Content Administration →) Consistency Checks.
4. In the Room Consistency report, choose the type of execution:
○ To start the Room Consistency report immediately, choose Start in the report menu.
○ To schedule the report to run repeatedly, choose Schedule in the report menu.
5. Enter the name of the execution.
6. Only for repeated execution: Define and activate the schedule.
7. Choose the commands required:
○ To check and correct the properties of rooms, select Update Rooms.
○ To check and correct the main group of the room and the group of the room roles, choose Update Group Objects.
○ To check and correct the properties of discussion groups and posts, select Update Discussions.
8. For immediate execution, choose Start or save your settings for report execution according to the schedule.
The system runs the report according to the settings.
To display the results lists for the individual report runs, click the report icon or the report name. You can call up each results list and restart the report if necessary.
