The most important characteristics of this variant of the process integration scenario SingleFlightBooking are: asynchronous message exchange, uses mappings, uses proxy runtime and the IDoc adapter (Advanced Adapter Engine).

Ther IDoc adapter (Advanced Adapter Engine) — also referred to as IDoc adapter (AAE) for short — is part of the Advanced Adapter Engine and allows the setup of scenarios based on IDoc exchange, even in cases when the Integration Engine is not involved in message processing.
