Mobile Perspectives
A mobile perspective defines the context in which mobile content is delivered.
Note
An item that is defined as a mobile perspective must be an entry point.
Portal on device provides the following mobile perspectives:
Perspective |
Description |
More Information |
|---|---|---|
Home |
Displays the item as a Home page. To define a Home page, you can use an iView or a page. |
|
Launcher |
Displays the item as the Launcher. To define the Launcher, you can use one of the portal container objects: role folder, role, or workset. |
|
Toolbox |
An overlaying list of launchable items, such as Favorites or Contacts, which you open and close using a tab on the left side of the mobile framework page. When the user selects an item in the toolbox, it is launched in the content area of the page.
The Toolbox perspective can be used on both smartphone and tablet devices. End of the note. |
|
Toolbox Extended |
A second-level list that opens next to the toolbox. The extended toolbox is used to display toolbox items, instead of displaying them in the content area. When you select an item in the extended toolbox, it displays in the extended toolbox, replacing the previous content. In this manner, you can drill down in the extended toolbox. A back button at the top of the list enables you to go back one level at a time.
The Toolbox Extended perspective can be used only on tablet devices. End of the note. |

Note
Before assigning a mobile perspective to a portal object, the default assignment is None. When you navigate to such an item in a mobile application, this item behaves according to the value of its Launch in New Window property.
