Procedure documentationUsing Custom Icons Locate this document in the navigation structure

 

You can define custom icons for content items; for example, for items in the Launcher.

Prerequisites

  • You are assigned the Content Admin role

Procedure

  1. In the portal, navigate to   Content Administration   Portal Content Management  .

  2. In the Portal Catalog, select the content item, and in the context menu choose   Open   Properties  .

  3. In the Properties editor, choose Modify Properties.

  4. In the All tab, specify a value for the Icon URI property, as follows:

    • Enter one of the following values:

      • Full path to icon; for example: http://...

      • Path that is relative to the application (which must be deployed on the portal), such as: /<application name>/images/<file>

      • PCD path in the Web Resource Repository (using the Copy ID option)

    • The following file formats are supported: GIF, PNG, and JPEG.

    • We recommend using icons sized 43x43 pixels for smartphones and 72x72 pixels for tablets.

  5. Save your changes.
