Debugging ApplicationsLocate this document in the navigation structure

Prerequisites

You have chosen Start of the navigation path SAP NetWeaver Administrator Next navigation step Operations  Next navigation step Systems Next navigation step Application Manager End of the navigation path.

Context

Use this procedure to set the trace severity of a particular application to DEBUG.

Caution

This configuration will take effect for the whole development component (DC).

Procedure

  1. From the Show dropdown box, choose a functionality, depending on the type of applications you want to monitor.
  2. To start debugging, select the application and choose Enable Debug Logging .

    The configuration is indicated in the No. of logged errors/fatals field within the Summary area.

  3. To see only those applications whose debugging option is enabled, choose Start of the navigation path Show  Next navigation step Functionalities with Debug Logging Enabled End of the navigation path.
  4. When DEBUG level is no longer necessary, select the relevant application and choose Disable Debug Logging .

    The DC accepts its previous (retrieved) severity levels.
