Procedure documentationManaging Sessions Locate this document in the navigation structure

 

You use this procedure to persistently save breakpoints, layout, options, and settings and reload them for later use. Once a session has been saved, it is available to all users. You can store a session in a file or on the database.

Procedure

Saving a Session
  1. To save the current session, choose Debugger   Debugger   Debugger Session   Save  .

  2. Depending on the medium you want to use for saving the session, perform the following:

  1. In the Session Name input field, enter the name of the session.

  2. In the File Name input field, enter the file name and the path where you want to save the file.

  3. In the Components screen area, depending on which components you want to save, select any of the following checkboxes:

    • Layout

    • Breakpoints

      The standard variant START_UP must not contain breakpoints.

    • Settings

    • Options

  4. Enter a comment and choose Save.

Database

  1. In the Session Name input field, enter the name of the session.

  2. In the Components screen area, depending on which components you want to save, select any of the following checkboxes:

    • Layout

    • Settings

    • Options

  3. Enter a comment and choose Save.

Loading a Session
  1. To load a saved session, choose   Debugger   Debugger Session   Load  .

  2. Depending on the medium where the session is saved, perform the following:

    Target Medium

    File

    1. In the File Name input field, enter the file name and the path of the file you want to load.

    2. In the Components screen area, depending on which components you want to load, select any of the following checkboxes:

      • Layout

      • Options

      • Settings

      • Breakpoints

    3. Choose Load.

    Database

    1. In the User input field, enter the user whose session you want to load.

    2. In the Session Name input field, enter the name of the session.

    3. In the Components screen area, depending on which components you want to load, select any of the following checkboxes:

      • Layout

      • Options

      • Settings

      • Breakpoints

    4. Choose Load.

List and Delete Sessions
  1. To maintain sessions, choose Debugger   Debugger   Debugger Session   Overview/Delete  .

    You go to a dialog box.

  2. Fill in the selection screen and choose Continue. A list of session appears, which you can sort and delete.
