Using Wait Step Work Items
The workflow system creates wait step work items when wait steps are executed. A wait step work item is not set to the status completed until the number of events specified in the definition has occurred.
A wait step work item is used to suspend the execution of a workflow or of a branch within a workflow until the necessary events have occurred.
Wait step work items are not displayed in the Business Workplace. You can only locate these work items using the work item selection.
A wait step work item can also be identified with the type code E in the technical information on the workflow.
A wait step work item can only exist in the statuses in process, completed, and logically deleted.
