You can translate terms individually in SAPterm.

To translate a number of terms in a worklist, see Translating Terms Using a Worklist.

Prerequisites

If you want to translate terms in SAPterm, you need to ensure that your target language default setting is maintained in your user settings.

Procedure

  1. Call transaction STERM.

  2. Make sure that the Source Language and Target Language into which you wish to translate are correct.

  3. Enter the term and choose Edit (Edit).

    The Edit Entry screen appears.

  4. Choose   Goto   Translate Entry  .

    You go to the Translate Entry screen.

  5. Enter the translation in the Target Term field.

    Note Note

    To compare the term with the proposal pool, choose Compare with Proposal Pool from the application toolbar.

    To make further entries for the term, choose Other Context from the application toolbar.

    End of the note.

  6. Maintain any necessary additional information, such as synonyms or abbreviations, for your target language term.

  7. Choose Save (Save) to save your entries.

Result

The system saves the translation of the term in the terminology database.
