Sorting for Multiple Columns 
If you want to sort the list according to multiple columns, the result produced depends on the sequence in which the columns are sorted. You therefore specify the sort sequence.
To define the sort sequence, open the Settings dialog box.

Choose the Sorting tab page.
The Sorted Columns list lists all columns according to which the list is sorted.
Note
If you display the list as a hierarchy, all hierarchy columns are displayed in the Sorted Columns list. They are highlighted in color, that is, you cannot change their sort sequence here.

In the left list, select all columns according to which sorting is to be done and click Add to include them in the sorting.
Select the sort direction from the dropdown list box in the Sort Direction column.
In the Sorted Columns list, display the enter with the column whose position you want to change.
Note
You can select multiple entries in the list and change their position.

Note
Note that when sorting according to multiple columns, the sort symbol is always displayed in the column title for the last column that was added.
