When the test of the selected Web service operation completes, you can review the test results, save the test data for later usage, and add the information about the current test to a test scenario.

Procedure

  • Use the Tree View to review the structure of the sent data and the received result.

To collapse or expand a structure, use the buttons at the top right end of the corresponding Tree View screen area.

  • For tests of ABAP Web services, you can use the options in the Back-End Analyses menu to view relevant system log information, ABAP runtime errors, and ABAP Object Navigator.

  • If you plan to repeat the test with the same or similar test data set, you can save the test data as an XML file.

To do this, choose   Tree View   Export   in the Input Parameters screen area. You can later use the saved file with the   Import   Test Data   option described above.

  • To save the SOAP message that was sent to the Web service for future tests, choose   XML Content   Download as File   in the Input Parameters screen area.

You can also do this with the data sent via HTTP, as well as with the received information via SOAP and HTTP.

  • To repeat the test with the current test data, choose Invoke.

  • To repeat the test with modified test data, choose the Previous button, update the parameter values as necessary, and choose the Next button.

  • To save the current test to a scenario, choose Add to Test Scenario. For more information, see Creating Test Scenarios.
