You can configure the SAP Management Console (SAP MC) settings according to your requirements. Choose   Tools   Settings  .

Options

Connection

Configure the connection between the SAP MC and the monitored SAP system(s).

  • Use HTTP/Use HTTPS:

    Set the communication protocol between the SAP MC and the application server.

  • Logon always the same user:

    Define whether the SAP MC will always log on with the same user for a system.

  • Autoupdate:

    Activate the automatic update of the system status information.

  • Update every:

    Set the period for the automatic update of the system status information.

  • Use thread pool

    Define whether the SAP MC uses thread pools.

  • Number of threads

    Define the size of the thread pool by entering the number of threads the SAP MC uses.

  • Interface Type:

    The interface type is always SOAP.

LDAP

Configure the connection to an LDAP server. It is stored in the SAP MC history for future use.

  • LDAP Server:

    Enter the host of the LDAP server.

  • User Credentials:

    Enter the LDAP user credentials.

  • Anonymous:

    No user credentials needed.

  • Base DN:

    Enter the domain name LDAP Base Domain.

History

Set the view configuration of the SAP MC.

To add/remove an instance from the startup view configuration, select the instance from the relevant pane and choose Add or Remove.

To load a certain landscape, select the landscape from the file list.

Application

Configure:

  • The path to the executable file of the Web browser that you want to use in the SAP MC.

  • The path to the executable file of the Telnet client you want to use for remote administration of AS Java.

  • Browser Path:

    Enter the path to the executable file of the Web browser.

  • Telnet Path:

    Enter the path to the executable file of the Telnet client.

  • SSH Path:

    Enter the path to the executable file of the secure shell (SSH).

Debug

Set the level at which logging information is written to a log file.

To set the logging level, choose the relevant severity in the Log Level field.
