Opening and Saving Objects in BEx 

Use

This function allows you to open, save, and search for objects in the following BEx tools and applications:

●      Query Designer

●      Analyzer

●      Web Application Designer

●      Report Designer

●      Web Analyzer

●      Broadcaster

The function contains into the Open and Save dialog boxes. The functions and titles of the dialog boxes depend on where the Open and Save dialog boxes are called from.

You can open, save, or search for the following objects in BEx:

●      Queries

●      Query views

●      InfoProviders

●      Workbooks

●      Reports

●      Web templates

Features

You can use the following dialog boxes and functions:

●      The Open dialog box for queries, query views, workbooks, exception, and alerts, and for Crystal Reports (formatted reporting) and Web templates from the history, favorites, roles, or workbooks view.

●      You can use the search function to search for objects in BEx. This is a sub-function of the Open dialog box.

●      The Save dialog box for saving new objects in BEx.

All three dialog boxes/functions allow you to sort entries in the display window by clicking on the column headers or using the Sort function from the context menu.
