Managing the SAP NetWeaver CE Portal 
SAP NetWeaver Portal is a scalable portal, with an open architecture capable of integrating unlimited content. Portal content is designed to retrieve information from varied information sources such as Web sites, groupware applications, legacy systems, enterprise applications, databases, and document directories.
The portal provides a complete set of tools to administer, manage, and monitor the portal within a single environment. If your system is running usage type Composition Environment Platform (CEP) without usage type EP Core – Application Portal (EPC), then managing the portal in CE is the same as that of an EPC-based portal installation, with the following exceptions:
Portal Activity Reports and Activity Data Collector: These data statistics tools in the portal are not available in SAP NetWeaver CE.
Web Page Composer: Not available in SAP NetWeaver CE.
Federated portal network (FPN): A portal running in SAP NetWeaver CE is qualified to function as a producer portal only. It is not designed to support business users directly, and has not been qualified to consume content from remote portal. It is only permitted to function as a producer; thus exposing its portal content and applications to other remote portals (for example, SAP NetWeaver 7.0 and SAP NetWeaver Portal 7.3).
