Searching for Messages
With the message monitor, you can monitor the processing of messages on the Integration Engine. You can find a message by specific information contained in the message header or the payload. You can enter as many search options as necessary; the system returns only those results that match all of the provided search criteria. This allows you to reduce the number of messages displayed in the monitor, so that you can see only those messages in which you are interested.
When searching for processed messages, you should have started the message monitor. For more information, see Monitor for Processed XML Messages.
When searching for archived messages, you should have started the advanced search for archived messages. For more information, see Selecting Archived Messages.
For user-defined search, each part of the message you want to find must be defined in advance as the search criteria for a filter. For more information, see Configuring the User-Defined Message Search.
Choose the Standard Selection Criteria tab.
Enter one or more of the following search details:
Date and time of execution.
For sender and receiver search you can specify the party, component, interface name, interface namespace, and operation.
Enter advanced or user-defined search criteria as needed and start the search.
Choose the Advanced Selection Criteria tab.
Enter one or more of the following search details: message ID, message type, sent from and to date, logical pipeline ID, error ID, error category, error description, client, user, technical inbound or outbound channel, outbound status, queue ID, or message with acknowledgment message
Enter standard or user-defined search criteria as needed and start the search.
Choose the User-Defined Selection Criteria tab.
Use this option when you want to find messages by information contained in their payload or their dynamic header.
Choose one of the following search modes:
If you choose to search for one value, the results depend on whether you have entered one or more pairs of search criterion and value. When there is only one search criterion and value, the system searches for all messages in which the corresponding message part has the specified value. When there are many search criteria and values entered, the system searches for all messages in which at least one of the corresponding message parts appears with one of the values you have specified.
If you choose to search for all values and you have entered many pairs of search criterion and value, the system searches for all messages that have all of the corresponding message parts with the specified values.
Enter search criteria and values.
Enter standard or advanced search criteria as needed and start the search.
The system finds the messages that match all of the provided search criteria and displays them in a table.
