Function documentation Party Editor  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You use the party editor to do the following:

·        Specify a receiver party in a receiver determination

·        Specify the sender and receiver party when defining the header mapping (see Receiver Agreement)

Features

Standard Editor

Once you have called the partner editor, you can select a communication party from the list. All the communication parties in the Integration Directory are displayed for selection.

To call the extended party editor, choose Extended.

Features of the Extended Editor

You can do the following in the extended party editor:

·        Specify a constant value for the communication party

·        Define that the communication party is to be determined dynamically from the payload

This enables you to do the following:

¡        Specify a context object

¡        Specify an XPath expression

You can specify the XPath expression manually, or select the field for which you want to specify the XPath expression from a structure view. To show the structure of the message, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text. To hide the structure again, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text.

If you specify the party by using a context object or an XPath expression, you must also specify the agency and the schema so that the party is defined completely (see: Identifiers).

To specify the agency and schema, choose Display List of Permitted Values (This graphic is explained in the accompanying text) in the input field for agency/schema. You can then specify the agency and schema by using the expression editor.

Specifying Prefix-Namespace-Pairs

If the element in the message that you want to access is qualified by a namespace, you must give the namespace a prefix. The prefix is then used as an abbreviation of the namespace in XPath expressions.

You assign a prefix to a namespace (in the form of a prefix-namespace-pair) in the table.

To add a new prefix-namespace-pair to the table, choose Insert a Row Below Selection (This graphic is explained in the accompanying text). To delete a prefix-namespace-pair from the table, choose Delete Selected Row (This graphic is explained in the accompanying text).

If you transfer an XPath expression from the structure of the message, the corresponding prefix-namespace-pair is created automatically.

To return to the standard editor, choose Standard.
