Integration Process (Service)
To address an integration process from the Integration Repository as a sender or receiver of messages, you must first create it as a service in the Integration Directory.
An integration process can send or receive messages by using its abstract interfaces. Correspondingly, an integration process can be treated like a business system at configuration time: during routing an integration process acts like a sender or receiver of messages. Therefore, when defining receiver determinations you can specify an integration process as the sender or receiver of messages, provided you have already defined it as a service.
You cannot assign a communication channel to an integration process.
To define an integration process as a service in the Integration Directory, the integration process must be defined in the Integration Repository.
To create an integration process as a service, use the integration process wizard.
An integration process (service) comprises the following information:
The name and namespace of the integration process are displayed in the Integration Repository.
Displays the abstract interfaces that enable the integration process to send or receive messages (Process Signature).
If the process signature has been changed in the Integration Repository, use the Refresh Interfaces function to ensure that the change also takes effect in the Integration Directory as well. To do so, in the Service Editor menu, choose Service ® Refresh Interfaces.
