The aim of route determination is to find the most suitable route from a large number of routes. For more information, see Route Determination.

Integration

If you integrate with the Transportation (LE-TRA) component of SAP ERP, you have to deactivate route determination in SCM Basis as transportation integration uses routes from SAP ERP. For more information, see the Configuration Content for Transportation Integration documentation in SAP Solution Manager.

To use transportation integration, you must activate the business function EWM, Integration with Transportation (SCM_EWM_TRANS_INT_1).

Prerequisites

For route determination in Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), you have made the following settings:

  • To be able to perform route determination as part of delivery processing, you have executed the Customizing activity Activate or Deactivate Route Determination in Customizing for EWM under   Goods Issue Process   Outbound Delivery   Route Determination  .

  • You have defined the following master data for route determination on the SAP Easy Access screen under   Extended Warehouse Management   Master Data   Shipping and Receiving   Route Determination  :

    • General transportation cost profile

    • Location

    • Transportation lane

    • Route

    • Zone

    • Carrier profile

Activities

To simulate route determination, on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose   Extended Warehouse Management   Master Data   Shipping and Receiving   Route Determination   Simulate Route Determination  .
