Backup/Restore and Recovery 

The standard installation of usage type PI is all-in-one, which means that data of all tools and engines is stored in one database. Exceptions are the Plain J2SE Adapter Engine and the System Landscape Directory if they already exist on the customer side.

The Plain J2SE Adapter Engine uses the specific tool of the corresponding operating system (with its file system persistence).
