Displaying/Editing a Software Component
Version
You use this function to display and edit an imported software component version. This enables you to create namespaces.
The Display/Edit Software Component Version editor contains the following screen areas:
The header displays the name of the software components, the version, the status, and a description.
The work area consists of the following tab pages:
In this tab page you can do the following:
· Define whether the import of RFC and IDoc interfaces from SAP systems is permitted or not
Select the corresponding check box.
If you select the check box Import of RFC and IDoc Interfaces from SAP Systems Permitted, RFCs and IDocs of this software component version are imported. These objects are then displayed under Imported Objects in the navigation area.
To ensure that these objects are imported without errors, you must enter the following information under Connection Data for Import from SAP System:

¡ Client
¡ Message Server
¡ Group

To find this information for the SAP system, call the logon dialog (SAP logon) for SAP systems. Choose Groups… In the System ID field, enter the system ID of the SAP system that you want to import interfaces from. The Message Server field displays the address of the message server. Choose Create List. The system displays the groups available for logging on to the system (for example, PUBLIC).
· Specify namespaces for the software component version

To be able to create objects for a software component version in the Integration Repository, at least one namespace must have been created for the software component version.
To create a new namespace, choose Insert a
Line Below the Selection (
)
and enter the namespace. Choose Save (
).
· Delete namespaces
To delete a namespace, select the corresponding line
of the table and choose Delete Selected Lines (
). It is also possible to delete several namespaces at
once.

Ensure that namespaces do not contain any objects before deleting them.
This tab page displays the following information:
· Available support packages
· Subordinate software component versions
Subordinate software component versions are connected to the displayed software component version in the System Landscape Directory by a based-on relationship.
This tab page displays the key information about the software component version that is stored in the System Landscape Directory.
The following information is displayed about software component versions:
· GUID
· Element type key
· Vendor
· Name
· Version
