Inserting a Global Hyperlink

Prerequisites

You have opened a changeably checked out content object in Word.

Procedure

...

       1.      Choose the insertion position or select the hyperlink hotspot text.

       2.      Choose IOEditor  ®  Insert global link.

If there is no connection to the Knowledge Provider SAP system, the SAP Logon dialog box appears for you to logon to an SAP system.

If there is a connection to the Knowledge Provider SAP system, the Find Info Object dialog box appears.

       3.      Select the info object class, enter search criteria for the desired content object and choose Continue.

       4.      The content objects found are listed.

       5.      Select the desired content object and choose Copy.

Result

A hyperlink to the selected content object is inserted in the Word document.

The link hotspot is highlighted in blue and underscored.

If IMG documents are converted to HTML and stored in the Knowledge Provider, you can also insert hyperlinks to IMG documents in this way. Enter the name of the IMG document in the Technical name field in the dialog box for finding content objects.

Hyperlinks to glossary definitions can also be inserted in the same way.
