You can edit files from the Solution Manager repository of the Help Center from the Help Center or from the central administration of Help Center content as follows:

  • Download to your PC for local editing

  • Change and save locally

  • Reload to the Solution Manager repository to update the original file

  • Delete the original file in the Solution Manager repository

You access the editing functions as follows:

Links to files that are saved in the repository of the Solution Manager system contain items for calling editing functions in their context menu.

Central Administration of Help Center Content

Once you have started the worklist selection, the system provides the result list and all necessary editing functions. The create function opens an empty editor; all other functions refer to the entry that is currently selected. The detailed data for this entry (editable text, application assignment) is displayed below the list.

Prerequisites

You are in the Help Center of an SAP application or in the central administration of Help Center content.

Procedure

Changing Files from the Solution Manager Repository from the Help Center Link
  1. Choose (for the link) Download File from Solution Manager Repository and confirm any dialog boxes that appear.

  2. Change the contents of the file and save the new version on your PC.

  3. Choose Update File in Solution Manager Repository.

  4. Specify the changed file and save your entries to trigger the update of the original file.

  5. Test whether the link calls the new version of the original file.

Deleting Files from the Solution Manager Repository
  1. Choose (for the link) Delete File in Solution Manager Repository.

    Caution Caution

    Only delete the file if you are sure that there are no other links to it. Otherwise, deleting it will result in link errors.
