Process Editor
The process editor is a graphical editor in the Integration Builder that enables you to define and edit integration processes in the Integration Repository.
You can personalize the process editor according to your requirements. Your personal settings become the default settings when the process editor is started. For example, you can show or hide particular screen areas or display the process definition vertically (see also: Personal Settings).
The following graphic shows the structure of the process editor:

Contains the main Integration Builder menu and standard toolbar.
See also: Main Menu Bar and Standard Toolbar
Shows the navigation area of the Integration Builder.
See also: Navigation Area
Shows the name, namespace, software component version, and status of the integration process. You can edit the description, if required.
Here you define and edit the integration process. The editing area contains the process editor toolbar.
You can switch between the following views:
● Graphical Definition
Define and edit the steps of the integration process.
See also Defining Steps
● BPEL4WS Display
Display the BPEL4WS representation of the integration process and import or export of a integration process by using BPEL4WS. If you have selected automatic updating in the personal settings, any changes you make to the process outline, for example, will be visible immediately.

● Correlation Editor

See also: Correlating Messages
Shows alternative representations of the business process. You can switch between the following views:
● Process Overview

● Process Outline

Used for defining the properties of the selected step. Which properties you can define depends on the step type (see also: Step Types).
Some properties are shown in bold italics, for example the Exception property for the Block step type. This indicates that you can define more than one value line, so in this case, you can define multiple exceptions.
Some properties are
shown in bold and have the expand or collapse icon (
). This means that you can show or hide the
other entries made for this property.
All mandatory properties are indicated with by a question mark (?).
To change the default value for a property, select the value and choose Delete. You can now enter a new value.
Shows messages and the output of further functions. You can switch between the following views:
● Processing Log
Shows messages that are displayed when defining the integration process.
● Tasks
Displays the results of the integration process check (Integration Process ® Check).
● Search Results
Shows the
results of the step search (
).
● WSDL Display
Shows the data types, message types and so on that are referenced in the integration process definition as a WSDL description. This view is only available when the BPEL4WS view is currently displayed in the editing area.
You can switch between the individual views without the content of a particular view being lost.
