To make the search function available in the Help Center, you must assign the Search section in the Help Center Implementation Guide. This section contains the input field for the search term.

Once you have added the Search section to the Help Center, the system checks whether the search object connectors are active when the Help Center is called.

To ensure that the search function covers all Help Center content, the following prerequisites must be met:

The Notes section is displayed in the Help Center.

The Frequently Asked Questions section is displayed in the Help Center.

Application help

The link to the application help is permitted in the Help Center (default setting).

Special case: If the application help is not permitted in the Help Center, the user parameter for overriding this setting must be activated.

  • To files saved in a shared network folder

  • To Web pages

The respective section (Worth Knowing or Learning Content) is displayed in the Help Center, and the physical path to the network folder and the corresponding logical path for the search are specified in the Help Center Implementation Guide.

Procedure

  1. In the SAP system, open the Project Implementation Guide for the Help Center.

  2. Choose   SAP NetWeaver   Knowledge Management   Help Center  .

  3. Choose Define Order of Help Center Sections (Define Order of Help Center Sections).

  4. Assign the Search section.
