Defining
Sender/Receiver IDs
You define IDs for senders and receivers so that you can use them in other functions, for example, in event-driven message processing.
You use this
function to display and edit a table view (transaction SM30). For more
information, see:
Working with View-Led
Customizing Transactions.
You have chosen Configuration ® Configure Sender/Receiver ID in the Integration Engine menu and are on the Sender/Receiver Definition screen.
To change an existing sender/receiver definition, proceed as follows:
...
1. Switch to change mode.
2. Make the required changes.
You can change all properties except for the sender/receiver ID.
To create a new sender/receiver definition, proceed as follows:
...
1. Switch to change mode.
2. To create a new sender/receiver definition, choose New Entries.
3. Enter a sender/receiver ID (be as descriptive as possible).
4. Enter a short description of the sender/receiver.
5. Make the remaining entries for the sender/receiver definition.
¡ An input help containing normalized addresses is available on the Integration Server to assist you. You are not permitted to use other address data here. IDocs are an exception as no normalized data is available.
¡ There is no input help available in an Integration Engine. You have to enter the communication channel data specified in the Integration Directory manually in this case.
You can enter an asterisk (*) on its own.

If you use the sender/receiver ID when defining filters for event-driven message processing, this can result in messages being filtered out by more than one filter.
