Example documentationExample: Manual Mapping Using Proposals Locate this document in the navigation structure

You want to map all source products that are not mapped to a harmonized product.

You use a layout with the following assignment blocks:

  • Work Items

  • Proposals: Harmonized Products

  • Proposals: Source Products

  • Work Area

Process

  1. In the assignment block Work Items you create a worklist for source products. For example, you select only work items that refer to data from a specified data provider.

  2. You select a work item and generate a list of mapping proposals by choosing Update Proposals.

  3. You review the proposals in the assignment block Proposals: Harmonized Products.

The harmonized products in this list are all similar to the selected source product for which you generated the proposal list. The score indicates to what extend the two products match.

  4. You select the best proposal.

  5. In the Work Items assignment block you choose Assign to Harmonized Product in Proposals for the selected work item.

The system assigns the source product that is referred to by the work item to the selected harmonized product.

  6. The system deletes the work item, and it is removed from the worklist.

  7. The new mapping is added to the work area.

  8. You select the harmonized product in the work area and update the proposals of source products (assignment block Proposals: Source Products).

  9. You select all source products that can be added to the mapping and choose Assign to Harmonized Product in Work Area.

  10. You save.
