Retailers usually do not send a data record for days when a product was not sold. To get correct values for calculations like zero sales calculations, the missing data records must be added. To know whether a product was not sold because the location was closed for a particular period of time, you have to define the periods when locations are open for business. If the product was not sold because the location was closed, the system creates a zero sales record during sales data enrichment.
To determine the hours of operation for a location, you define a location calendar using transaction /DDF/CAL. Based on this calendar, the systems generates days and weeks. These can be displayed using transaction /DDF/CALP.
You can assign the location calendar to a combination of data origin, country, and region and make this the default assignment for several locations using transaction /DDF/CALDO.
During the upload of locations in the process chain Stage Locations with PFC (/DDF/LOC_STAGE) the system evaluates the attributes data origin, country, and region for each location and assigns the locations to the defined location calendar. These assignments can be displayed in transaction /DDF/CALLOC.
