The process flow control (PFC) is a control mechanism in SAP Demand Signal Management that allows you to sequence and monitor how data is uploaded for consumption by analytical applications.

To run the PFC, you use either the jobs you configure in the daemon framework or the jobs you set up as you set up as batch jobs in the transaction Schedule Background Job (SM37). The daemon framework is the recommended way to setup the jobs. If this is the case, the jobs can be controlled (started and stopped) via the work center user interface. The intend is, that PFC runs periodically, and, during each run, it evaluates which stage of the data processing can be started.

The Process Monitor user interface allows you to monitor the progress of data integration to SAP Demand Signal Management and offer some manual operations to change the status of processes or steps to impact the progress.
