All steps of the data flow are embedded in the data management of SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse using individual process chains. These process chains are combined and grouped in superordinate process chains that can be used in process definitions for monitoring the status of the process flow.
The process chains in SAP Demand Signal Management that are used in the process definition of the process flow control use the following naming conventions:
/DDF/<…>_FILE: Transferring files to the Data Store object (DSO) in the Data Acquisition Layer
/DDF/<…>_BOBJ: Transferring data to the Persistent Staging Area (PSA) using SAP Data Services and further on to the DSO in the Data Acquisition Layer
/DDF/<…>_ADD: Extracting additional master data from the Data Acquisition Layer for transaction data and transferring them to the DSO for master data in the Data Acquisition Layer
/DDF/<…>_STAGE: Transferring data from the acquisition DSO to the propagation DSO and to the corresponding InfoObjects
/DDF/<…>_MR_EXTRACT: Extracting market research data to the PSA
/DDF/G<…>_EXTRACT: Extracting harmonized data from data harmonization
/DDF/<…>_EXTRACT: Extracting data from data harmonization
/DDF/<…>_ENRICHMT_STAGE: Executing data enrichment and posting data to the propagation DSO
