Define a process for market research data

Create BW process chains for DataSources of retail panel data, and then create process steps that use these process chains

Define data sets for incoming self-descriptive exchange (SDX) format files and associate them with process steps and the DataSources that are used for extraction

Define a file set that contains one file only – the metafile – and do not assign a process step to this file set

Set up a directory with folders for each data delivery agreement

Define the time aggregation level

Define field mapping between the fields in incoming files and the fields of the extract structures

Run the report Map Fields for Market Research Data (/DDF/ADU_MAP_CUST_SDX) to identify the names of the fields in the (SDX) files and to map between those fields to fields in the extract structures

This mapping is stored in the mapping tables

Adjust the predefined mapping manually, if necessary

Define hierarchy levels

Define time derivation

Activate the data delivery agreement

Ensure that the folder scanner is running in the system or scheduled as a periodic job in the background
