The standard process contains the following steps for each object that is uploaded to data harmonization:

  1. A source object is uploaded.

  2. The system checks whether the source object can be assigned to an existing harmonized object.

    1. If so, the system assigns the source object to the harmonized object.

    2. If it cannot and the Customizing settings allow the creation of new harmonized objects, the system creates a new harmonized object and assigns the source object.

    3. If it cannot and no new harmonized object can be created, then the system creates a work item for manual mapping, and the mapping must be done manually.

  3. If the mapping needs to be confirmed manually, the system creates a work item for this.
