For analytical purposes, SAP Demand Signal Management is set up to extract the information of the instance tables into SAP NetWeaver BW DataStore Objects (DSOs).
To set up this extraction, you schedule the process chain /DDF/PFC_ALL.
This extraction has the following tasks:
Back up historical uploads and their instances
Enable analysis of the upload process
To improve the performance of access to the instance tables, the Clean Archived Instances Job monitors the instance tables and checks whether a data delivery with all its processes and steps can be deleted and deletes all detected data deliveries
In the standard system a data delivery can be deleted if the following criteria are fulfilled:
The last change has taken place more than 180 days ago
Note
You can change the number of days by changing the parameter INSTANCE_CLEAN_DAYS_NUMBER in Customizing for Cross-Application Components under .
The data delivery is marked for archiving
The data delivery has been extracted into to instances DSOs
This job does not need to run daily, but depends on the volume of incoming deliveries. The default value is set to 180 days.
For more information about configuring the job, see Customizing for Cross-Application Components under .
