Manual Mapping Locate this document in the navigation structure

As a harmonization user you want to edit the mapping of source objects to harmonized objects manually in one of the following situations:

  • The system could not create a mapping during automatic harmonization.

  • You want to change an existing mapping.

  • You want to review or confirm a mapping that was created automatically.

Note Note

You can map multiple source objects to the same harmonized object, but you can only map one harmonized object to a source object.

End of the note.

On the user interface you see the following assignment blocks:

  • Work area

    Contains the following objects:

    • All harmonized objects to which you have assigned source objects in the current session

    • All harmonized objects you have added directly to the work area

You can see all source objects that are currently assigned to a harmonized object by expanding the node.

Any changes you make in the work area are saved as soon as you save your work. If you remove objects from the work area, the changes are still temporarily stored in the buffer, and are also saved.

  • Work items

Contains all work items for the object type that can be resolved in this application. You can change the selection by using the search.

If a work item is completed, it is also automatically removed from the list.

  • Proposal lists

Contain the mapping proposals that are determined by the system

  • Search result lists for harmonized and source objects

Contain harmonized objects or source objects for which you searched manually

Note Note

You can change the layout of the UI according to your needs. You can rearrange or hide assignment blocks using the standard personalization options by choosing Personalize (Personalize).

If you, for example do not want to use system proposals, you can hide the assignment blocks.

End of the note.

You can perform the following actions:

  • Resolve or disregard work items

  • Determine mapping proposals

  • Compare selected objects

  • Assign source objects to an existing harmonized object

  • Create a an new harmonized object and assign source objects

  • Change assignments

  • Delete harmonized objects

If a harmonized object has no source objects assigned, you can delete it.
