Since the amount of data in SAP Demand Signal Management is continuously growing through processing incoming data deliveries, the system may reach its limits, for example, in hard drive capacity.

If you want to keep the amount of data in your SAP NetWeaver BW system constant, you use data archiving for the following data:

  • Processed files in the archiving folder

After files are processes successfully, they are moved to the archive folder using the Administrative Tasks Job . Archive all processed files in all archive folders for all data deliveries on a regular basis. The recommended frequency depends on the number of deliveries received and the server capacity.

  • Instance tables

Instances are extracted to SAP NetWeaver BW and deleted by the Clean Archived Instances Job, when specified prerequisites are met.

Since the data is extracted to SAP NetWeaver BW, you use the standard data archiving processes for SAP NetWeaver BW.
