The tasks of the Data Upload Supervisor are the following:
Monitor the data upload
The supervisor can do this in the Process Monitor UI.
Correct any errors in the upload process
The supervisor can monitor the data upload for any errors in the Process Monitor UI and take action to correct those errors in SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse, for example, in transaction Data Warehousing Workbench: Modeling (RSPC) to repair process chains.
Change the statuses of objects in the data upload to control the upload process
The supervisor can change object statuses in the Process Monitor UI.
Control the background jobs to ensure an automatic data upload lifecycle
The supervisor can do this in the Job Monitor and in transaction Job Selection (SE37).
Typical activities for this role are monitoring and making manual changes to the data upload in SAP Demand Signal Management. The Data Upload Supervisor ensures that the file system and file transfer is set up correctly and data can be uploaded successfully.
The Data Upload Supervisor can perform the following activities:
Start and stop jobs
Monitor application logging and system messages for jobs, processes, process steps, and process chains
Cancel processes and process steps
Reload data deliveries
Skip steps
Put steps on hold and restart them
Execute steps manually and set them to completed
