Technical Settings for File Upload Locate this document in the navigation structure

 

You use the folder scanner to detect new file-based data automatically.

To ensure automatic data detection is running properly, you do the following:

  • Allocate the appropriate disk space for the volume of incoming data you expect to receive

  • Configure the file system and the folders to enable the correct file movement as files move through the inbound, process, and archive folders

  • Check that all the file directories have the appropriate access, modification, and execution privileges (for example, read, copy, rename, and so on)

  • Configure a data delivery agreement to set how the system should detect and upload new files

  • Activate data delivery agreements

    Only files for active data delivery agreements are detected.

  • Start the following SAP DSiM jobs in the daemon framework:

    • Folder Scanner

    • Process Scheduler
