Automatic Upload of Retail Panel Data Locate this document in the navigation structure

 

You can upload retail panel data to SAP Demand Signal Management automatically.

Process

  1. The load manager identifies the metafile from the file set definition.

  2. The load manager interprets the metafile and identifies all the files in a data delivery (self-descriptive exchange (SDX) format).

    Using information from the dimension and format files, the structure of the files that contain the retail panel data is determined.

  3. The load manager creates instances for the delivery, data sets, files, process, and process steps.

  4. The process flow control executes the steps of the process.

  5. The execution of these steps triggers the process chains in SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse.

  6. The extractor identifies files that are relevant for the data set.

  7. The extractor opens the files, reads, and transfers blocks of records to the target DataSources until all the relevant files have been read completely.

  8. During the extraction process, the data in the files is converted to fit the format information contained in the SDX format file and the mapping information in Customizing.
