Notes on Calculation

Balance category

When you select the balance category, you can choose to either calculate all or pat of the balances:

·        Full balance: The system takes into account the entire diagram in the calculation.

·        Credit balance: The system takes into account the credit side only for the calculation.

·        Debit balance: The system takes into account the debit side only for the calculation.

Balancing Method

·        Total

The system calculates the total of the balances for the required period of time. This is the same as the selected areas on the graphic.

·        Minimum

The system calculates the smallest value in the graphic.

Note

The system analyzes absolute values for the Debit Balance balance category, and calculates the smallest value.

The minimum debit or credit amount is zero if the balance was zero on at least one day, or was never a debit or credit balance.

·        Maximum

The system calculates the largest value in the graphic.

Note

The system analyzes absolute values for the Debit Balance balance category, and calculates the largest value.

The maximum debit or credit amount is zero if the balance was neither a debit nor a credit balance on any day.

·        Average

The system calculates the average value in the graphic.
You can also select the following parameters for debit or credit balances:

¡        Period category

§         Whole period: The system takes into account all the days of the query period for the calculation.

§         Effective days: The system takes into account only the days that the balance was either a debit or credit balance for the calculation.

¡        Interest calculation method

If you leave these two parameters out, then the average is the quotient of the balance total and the number of days in the requested time period.
