Use

You can deactivate HPA indexes on a temporary basis in order to test an aggregate or HPA index for performance purposes or to analyze data consistency. You can also delete HPA indexes.

You can switch off a HPA index temporarily. A HPA index that is switched off is not used when a query is executed.

To switch off the relevant HPA index, select it and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Switch On/Off. The symbol This graphic is explained in the accompanying text in the Object Version column indicates that the HPA index is switched off.

Since HPA indexes that are switched off must also be consistent, you do not have to activate the HPA index again or to fill it when you switch it back on.

The system deletes the definition and the settings of the HPA index in the BI system and the indexes on the HPA server.

Select the HPA index that you want to delete and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Delete.
