Calculating the Next Run Date: Bank Statement
Mass Run
This example shows how the system finds the next run date for a bank statement agreement in the mass run. The next run date is the earliest date of all those entered or calculated for the bank statement agreement.
On September 30, 2003, the customer requests a bank statement at the bank statement printer. The last item was posted on September 30, 2003 and is on the bank statement.
You have set up the account so that a bank statement is created a maximum of 30 days after the last account flow. When the bank statement is created on September 30, the system thus schedules an event-controlled bank statement for October 30, 2003 with event 9999 for the mass run.
On October 30, 2003, the system checks whether there were any account flows that were not yet included on any bank statement:
· Case 1: The customer withdrew money on the same day that the bank statement was created. After this, there were no more account flows until October 30, 2003. A bank statement is created in the mass run.
· Case 2: The last payment item was posted on October 5, 2003. No bank statement is created. The system schedules an event-controlled bank statement for November 5, 2003.
· Case 1: On October 1, 2003, you schedule a manual event for November 4, 2003 for the same bank statement agreement. Since the system has determined the next date as being October 30, 2003 by using event 9999, this is the next date for scheduling in the mass run.
· Case 2: On October 1, 2003, you schedule a manual event for 26.10.03 for the same bank statement agreement. Since this date is before the date scheduled by event 9999, it is the next date for scheduling in the mass run.
· You have scheduled a manual event for October 26, 2003 for the same bank statement agreement. On October 2, 2003, you also activate the Periodic indicator. You choose a monthly time period for the 25th day of the month in the Time Periods for Bank Statement group box.
The system now has the following dates available:
¡ October 25, 2003 due to the Periodic setting
¡ October 26, 2003 due to the manually created event
¡ October 30, 2003 due to the event 9999
The system now schedules a bank statement for the earliest of these dates (October 25, 2003) for the mass run.
· On October 3, 2003, you deactivate the checkbox Periodic. The system now schedules October 26, 2003 as the next run date.
· On October 4, 2003, you change the setting in the field for the number of days after which a bank statement is automatically created if one is not requested at the printer to 20 days (Bank Statement tab page for the account in the General Data area). The system now calculates October 20, 2003 as the next run date.
