Workflow Scenarios for BW-BPS 
Purpose
By linking enterprise planning with BW-BPS to the SAP Business Workflow, you achieve optimal support when coordinating your planning processes.
For
example, you can distribute planning tasks to many users from a central
position and monitor the procedure using the 
SAP Business
Workflow, and for example, execute a work item
analysis.
Process Flow
...
1. First set up the planning environment with the planning objects and planning functions that you require.
2. Assign agents to the planning packages defined in the planning environment. You can find more information under Preparation and Customizing.
3. Start one of the workflows delivered using Tools ® SAP Business Workflow ® Runtime Tool ® Start Workflow from the SAP Easy Access Menu screen.
4. The system generates the necessary work items, and provides the assigned agents with them in the Business Workplace inbox.
5. The agent enters the plan data. According to the workflow definition the agent either closes certain workflow steps manually and makes sure that further steps of the workflow can be processed by the system, or the system automatically closes the workflow.
Result
You can find out whether the tasks were correctly processed in the automatically generated workflow logs.
