Release Object OR_COCP (Product Change
(Card))
A release object in the Account Management (FS AM) system using which the system recognizes whether the editing of a product change (card) by entry or processing staff is subject to release. If the editing of the product change is subject to release, the system generates a release objectOR_COCP (product change (card))as a work item that can be processed further in the Business Workplace by a supervisor or user responsible for release.
For more
information on the release process, in other words, how the Account
Management (FS-AM) system interacts with the Business Workplace,
see the
Framework for the
Principle of Dual Control (CA-GTF-TS-PDC) documentation.
You make the settings for release object OR_COCP (product change (card)) and its release attributes in the Account Management (FS-AM) Customizing settings in the following IMG activities:
· Assign Release Object to Release Procedure
· Assign Rule to Release Steps
· Assign Release WF and Release Procedure WF to Release Procedures
· Dialog
¡ Transaction Change Card Product
¡ Transaction Execute Due Product Changes
¡ Transaction Edit Mass Product Changes
The system checks whether the product change processed in the dialog is subject to release, and generates a work item for every release-relevant product change. If a product change is no longer relevant for release once it has been processed, the related work item is deleted.

An event-controlled product change is not relevant for release.
· Business Application Programming Interface (BAPI)
The system checks, as for dialog processing, whether a product change edited via a BAPI is subject to release, and generates a work item for every release-relevant product change. If a product change is no longer relevant for release once it has been processed, the related work item is deleted.
You do not have the option of suppressing the release procedure for the product change BAPIs since the Deactivate Release Workflow parameter is not available.
The product change (card) BAPIs transfer information on whether the created or changed product changes are in the release process in the Release Flag or Is Release Required parameter.
Direct input is not implemented for a product change. The product change BAPIs with entry origin and processing origin: BDCOCP product change (card) - BAPI (EDT)realize the external data transfer.
You can use the following attributes of the product change (card) as release attributes for defining release reasons in the Customizing settings:
· Source product
· Product version
· Target product
· Product version
· Card transfer procedure
· Immediate product change
· Entry origin
Note the exceptions that apply for entry origin BDCOCP - product change (card) – BAPI (EDT). These are described in the Product Change (Card) section.
· Processing origin
Note the exceptions that apply for processing origin BDCOCP - product change (card) – BAPI (EDT). These are described in the Product Change (Card) section.
· Operation to be released
Not all product change activities are available in the Account Management (FS-AM) system as values for the Customizing of release object OR_COCP product change (card)).
