Revaluation at Retail

In addition to inventory management for purchase prices, inventory management using sales prices is common in retail. This InfoCube provides information about revaluation at retail.
When revaluation does not affect margins, the retail value and the cost value are both adjusted in line with the previous stock margin. It is often necessary to perform revaluation that does not affect margins to ensure that a price change at the time at which it is made is accurately reflected in Financial Accounting.
The distinction between a revaluation that affects margins and one that does not is made in the source system. In a revaluation that does not affect margins, the corresponding cost value is automatically transferred via the InfoSource and updated to the InfoCube.
