Use

SAP Business Intelligence (SAP BI) collects and analyzes all the data needed in the Monitoring Dormant Accounts and Escheat processes that is from the applications involved: Account Management (AM), Business Partner for Financial Services (BP-FS).

The data evaluation determines whether the BI system triggers actions in one or more applications.

The AM system transfers data to Correspondence (FS-TO-COR) if needed.

Prerequisites

You are using SAP Business Partner for Financial Services (GP-FS) or a comparable application to manage the business partner data.

Scope of Functions

Interfaces

Defined interfaces between BI and AM systems as well as between BI and BP-FS systems enable the exchange of information between all components and applications.

...

·        Interfaces to AM are defined in the BI systems: This system is where the account balance and the event of the last payment item triggered by the customer are recorded.

·        Interfaces to BP-FS are defined in the BI system: This system is where the customer data such as address and date of the last customer contact is recorded.

Control

The BI system is used to control the overall process by means of process chains. You, therefore, enter manual settings in the BI system, for example, the planning and time of the periodic start.

Correspondence

The connection of COR to AM enables you to inform the account holder of actions taken.

BI System Tasks

       1.      The BI system extracts data by using DataSources from the named applications, analyzes the collected information and stores it in multiple buffers (DataStore Objects).

       2.      The BI system delivers the results to BP-FS to trigger an update of the date of the last customer contact if needed.

       3.      The BI system starts a periodic mass run in AM (report Activity Status Conversion for Contracts RBCA_DORM_RUN_PP, transaction BCA_DORM_PP). This system searches the analysis results of the BI system to find the accounts, reports them to the AM system, and triggers editing there (convert activity status).

If required, the BI system indirectly triggers additional actions in other applications (for example, generation of correspondence).

For more information, see the documentation of the report by choosing Account Management ® Periodic Tasks ® Activity Status ® Restart Activity Status Conversion on the SAP Easy Access screen.

For more information about the operations in the BI system, see the documentation for SAP Business Intelligence under SAP NetWeaver ® Information Integration ® BI Content ® Industry Solutions ® Financial Services ® Banking ® Transaction Banking ® DataSources, ODS Objects and Process Chains.

SAP Business Intelligence and Business Partner

The BI system extracts the following data from the SAP Business Partner (FS-BP):

·        Date of the last customer contact (BP_LAST_CUST_CONTACT)

·        Business partner number (BU_PARTNER)

·        Address data

The BI system triggers the following functions:

·        Update the date of the last customer contact

BP-FS contains the date of the last customer contact on the Status tab page, Last Customer Contact group box. You can also change the date manually there.

A function that is executed periodically in the BI system ensures the automatic update:

                            a.      The BI system extracts the date of the last customer contact from the BP-FS.

                            b.      The BI system also extracts the time of the last payment item triggered by the customer (BCA_DTE_LAST_CIMT_TMSP) from AM (see the section SAP Business Intelligence and Account Management).

                            c.      The BI system reads the data to see which accounts belong to the business partner.

                            d.      The BI system then compares the date of the last payment item triggered by the customer and the date of the last customer contact.

If the last customer contact is before the last payment item that was triggered by the customer, BP-FS receives the order from the BI system to update the date of the last customer contact to the date of the last payment item triggered by the customer:

In the standard system, the Business Add-In BAdI for LCC Update (RS_TBBW_IMPL_LCC) in the BI system calls the function module Mass Update for the Field “Date of Last Customer Contact“ (FS_API_MASS_UPDATE_FOR_LCC) in FS-BP, which enables a mass update.

Note: If you are using a CRM system or a CIF, you need to create your own BAdI implementation and define the function there for sending the data to your external system. Define the logical name of the target system in the process variant of the process category LCC Update. For more information, see the corresponding documentation of the function modules and the Implementation Guide (IMG) for SAP Business Intelligence (SAP BI).

If the date of the last payment item triggered by the customer is before the date of the last customer contact, the date of the last customer contact remains unchanged.

SAP Business Intelligence and Account Management

The BI system extracts the following data from Account Management (FS-AM):

·        Time of the last payment item triggered by the customer

The BI system extracts the time of the last payment item triggered by the customer (BCA_DTE_LAST_CIMT_TMSP) from Account Management. This is needed to update the date of the last customer contact (see the section SAP Business Intelligence and Business Partner).

·        Activity status (BCA_DTE_CN_DORM_ACT_STATUS) and property code (BCA_DTE_CN_DORM_PROP_CODE) of the account.

The BI system extracts the activity status and the property code of an account from AM.

·        Information from AM Customizing including the status transition rules (for example, relevant region, starting status, and target status, and the reference date).

The BI system extracts the following data, for example:

§         Indicator for initiating correspondence (BCA_DTE_CN_DORM_INITIATE_NOT)

§         Minimal amount for notification of the account holder
(BCA_DTE_CN_DORM_MIN_VALUE)

§         Account balance (determined using the account key figures)

Note Note: The minimal amount and account balance are relevant only for the Escheat process.

The AM system extracts the following data from BI:

·        Information about accounts that requires action

BI calls the Application Programming Interface (API) Start Mass Run for Activity Status (RFC-Enabled) (BCA_API_DORM_RUN_PP) and starts the report Activity Status Conversion for Contracts (RBCA_DORM_RUN_PP) in Account Management. This in turn starts the Business Add-In BAdI: Interface for Trigger to Actions on the Contract (BCA_CN_DORM_TRIGGER), which is also in AM. In BI, the default implementation calls the function module Reads Data From a DataStore (Unicode) (BAPI_ODSO_READ_DATA_UC) with read function in the Operational Data Store (ODS).

Note: You need to implement the get method of the BAdI BCA_CN_DORM_TRIGGER so that the function module Activity Status: Get Trigger for Parallel Processing (BCA_PP_CN_BCDM_GET) gets the actions to be executed from BI and provides them to AM for processing.

Account Management executes the following functions:

·        Activity status conversion

Account Management converts the activity status for all the accounts named by BI.

Queries

You can create the following evaluations in BI for statistical purposes or as official reports:

·        Accounts with a particular activity status (query: 0TB_IS02_Q0001).

·        Accounts for escheat (query: 0TB_IS02_Q0002).

·        Accounts where escheat has been executed (query: 0TB_IS03_Q0001).

For more information, see the documentation for SAP Business Intelligence under SAP NetWeaver ® Information Integration ® BI Content ® Industry Solutions ® Financial Services ® Banking ® Transaction Banking ® Queries.

SAP Account Management and Correspondence

AM provides the following data for the notification of the account holder:

·        Correspondence container

AMtransfers information to the correspondence system about all the accounts named by BI, to trigger the generation of correspondence, according to the Customizing in AM at or before the time of the activity status conversion. The data delivered also includes the address of the account holder from BP-FS.

AM uses both the business transaction events process 0BCAADE1 Generation Event for Correspondence Type BADE and process 0BCAADE0 Print Event for Correspondence Type BADE.
