Creating the First Aggregate for an
InfoCube 
The InfoCube for which you want to create an aggregate has been saved and is active. There are not yet any aggregates for the selected InfoCube.
Note that the following prerequisites have to be filled if you want the system to propose aggregates:
· You must have created at least one query for the selected InfoCube or a MultiCube that uses the InfoCube. The system can propose the required aggregates when you start the queries and navigate in them.

Make sure that you
have switched on BI statistics collection for the selected InfoCube in the
OLAP area. For more information, see
Activating Data
Transfer for BI Statistics.

1. In the context menu for the InfoCube, choose Maintain Aggregate. The Proposals for Aggregates dialog box appears.
2. Specify if you want the system to propose aggregates.

Create proposals |
The system proposes suitable aggregates. The Specify
Statistics Data Evaluation dialog box appears. Enter the required data.
Choose The Maintain Aggregates screen appears. The system displays the proposed aggregates in the right area of the Aggregates screen.
You can change these proposals by using Drag & Drop to add or remove dimensions, characteristics or attributes. |

3.
To check the
aggregate definition for inconsistencies, choose
Check Definition.
4. Save the aggregates.
You can activate the aggregates you have created and fill them with data.
