Grouping of the central properties and functional characteristics of PLM documents. Every PLM document is based on an event type.
The details stored on the event type include the objects on which locks can be set or deleted by a PLM document. An event type depicting the death of a business partner, for example, triggers more extensive locks than an event type depicting the account opening of a new customer.
