Merging Master Data 

Master Data Objects

The extractors of master data InfoSources that are particularly important for store controlling belong to several different application components and are to be applied from those applications (source system assignment, scheduling). For store controlling, the various master data objects from the three applications involved are merged.

The leading master data objects are:

·        LO

¡        0PLANT (site)

·        CO-PA

¡        0COSTCENTER (cost center)

¡        0CO_AREA (controlling area)

·        HR

¡        0ORGUNIT (organizational unit)

The enterprise model from HR-OM (HR Organization Management) is used to create a fixed assignment. In the enterprise model, it is possible to create assignments between organizational units and cost centers. You can also use attributes to assign logical objects such as the location. As a result, the organizational objects create a link with the stores in Logistics and the relevant cost centers.

The master data tables that are required must be maintained manually. The link between the store and organizational unit means that fixed links can therefore be established between cost centers and sites.

Maintenance is possible using the following transactions in the OLTP System:

·         RTHCOM (maintain)

·         RTHCOC (create)

·         RTHCOD (display)

In the OLTP System, you access these maintenance transactions in the Customizing transaction for BW (SBIW) by choosing Customer-Defined DataSources ® Logistics ® Settings for IBU Retail / CP ® Assign cost centers to sites.

On the user interface, you can assign one location to an organizational unit. This is necessary so that the subsequent assignment of the cost center, which could previously only be assigned via the object OrgUnit, is possible.

This scenario is based on the assumption that the cost center hierarchy is structured on an organizational basis, and the overhead costs have already been distributed among the final costs centers of the organizational unit in the OLTP System. Multiple assignment is not possible for any cost centers.

Costs are not distributed in the BW System.

Assignment of Organizational Units/Cost Centers/Sites

The info object 0Orgeinheit contains the following attributes:

·        0MAST_CCTR, cost center (0CO_MST_AR, controlling area of the master cost center)

·        0PLANT, location

These attributes are supplied with data by the following extractors:

·        0RT_OORGUNIT_ATTR (supplies the Location attribute for the organizational unit)

·        0ORGUNIT_ATTR (supplies the Cost center attribute for the organizational unit)
