Getting Started 

Purpose

Before using the Deploy Tool, you need to know its basic and common functions and procedures.

Process Flow

To start the Deploy Tool:

·        with Windows OS use:

<Drive>:/usr/sap/<SID>/<INSTANCE_NAME>/j2ee/deploying/DeployTool.bat

·        with Unix based OS use:

/usr/sap/<SAPSID>/<Instance_Name>/j2ee/deploying/DeployTool

A Deploy Tool console window and the Deploy Tool mainframe window appear. You work within the Deploy Tool mainframe window only. The system uses the console window to display event and error messages.

From now on, the Deploy Tool mainframe window will be called the Deploy Tool.

Adjust the settings of the Deploy Tool.
